About us

Founder

Marco Amato | Zughy

Zughy grew up in a colourful whirl of video games and cares about the ethics behind them. He teaches digital ethics and works as an educator, illustrator and game developer. He founded A.E.S. and looks after its art, the project itself and many of the systems that keep the game running behind the scenes. He also founded the Etica Digitale collective and represents the education division of Luanti, the software that powers our game.

Lead developer

Giovanni Brancaccio | Giov4

A curious programmer since the age of 11, Giov4 learned by tinkering with games, from RainyFood, the first game he made, to Luanti mods. Now a lead developer, he helps organise tournaments on A.E.S. and loves shaving milliseconds off the game wherever he can. When a holiday’s coming up, though, the graphs can wait: on 1 December, you’ll already find him decorating the lobby.

Education and events

Otto Richter | fnetx

Otto loves figuring out how things work and changing them. When he was younger, he would lose himself exploring the worlds of a well-known minigame community and dream of making it better. That dream has come true: his training in education and event technology helps him get young people involved in development and in organising events on A.E.S.
